The Serie A club are ready to pay around £22m for the former Barcelona star
Lazio are preparing to make an offer for Chelsea star Pedro, according to reports.
Pedro, the forward, is set to enter his fourth season at Stamford Bridge having left first club Barcelona for London in 2015.
He’s made over 130 appearances for the Blues, though he started only 17 Premier League games last term, and there are doubts over whether Pedro has a future at the club under Maurizio Sarri, Chelsea’s new manager.
This has led to interest from Lazio, according to La Repubblica, who say the Serie A side are preparing a move for Pedro as they seek to replace Felipe Anderson, the Brazil midfielder who recently became West Ham’s record signing.
The 30-year-old has just a year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge, and the Rome club are believed to be ready to pay up to £22million (€25m) as they attempt to bring Pedro to the Stadio Olimpico.
Sarri is reportedly looking to bring a number of attacking players to Stamford Bridge following his appointment as manager, with Dries Mertens and Jose Callejon, both of the Italian’s former club Napoli, said to be top of his transfer wishlist.
