The midfielder previously played for the club between 2010-2015
West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang may return to former club Sampdoria this summer as the Italians are leading the race for his signature.
The 26-year-old spent five years at the club before moving to east London in 2015 on a four-year deal.
Obiang impressed during the early stages of his career at West Ham and was a mainstay in the Hammers team who comfortably avoided relegation from the Premier League last term.
However, the arrival of seven new signings, including central midfielder Jack Wilshere, has thrown the Spaniard’s future into some doubt.
And, according to La Repubblica, Sampdoria have submitted a £7m bid in the hope of bringing him back to the club this summer.
West Ham are thought to be considering Sampdoria’s advances and despite Fiorentina and Atalanta’s interest, Obiang is most likely to return to his former club.
