The Blues director is meeting the club owner in Nice to plot further summer signings
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will meet with club director Marina Granovskaia in Nice to discuss transfer targets, according to reports.
The Blues will be playing Inter Milan at Nice’s Allianz Riviera on Saturday.
Two weeks remain until the transfer window shuts and Chelsea have only signed Jorginho and Rob Green.
According to the Evening Standard, club bosses will meet to plot further signings before the new Premier League season.
Juventus defender Daniele Rugani is believed to be top of their wish-list, with the Blues willing to pay over £44m.
Rugani featured in the Old Lady’s pre-season win over Bayern Munich on Thursday and, speaking beforehand, his agent confirmed the interest but insisted a sale is far from guaranteed.
Davide Torchia said: “The interest from Chelsea is there for Rugani. Beyond the figures though there’s a technical question, neither the player nor Juventus have ever said they want a sale.
“Rugani is calm and happy, he’s at the pre-season training camp and he’s thinking about Juventus.”
New manager Maurizio Sarri is also thought to be keen on a reunion with Gonzalo Higuian.
