The 18-year-old has been making a name for himself against Atletico Madrid and PSG during the pre-season tour
Arsenal have awarded academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe a new long term contract, the club have confirmed.
The 18-year-old was part of the first-team squad that travelled to Singapore for their pre-season tour, the youngest member of the squad to do so, and made his mark with a superb goal against Atletico Madrid.
Smith Rowe also provided an assist for Alexandre Lacazette in the 5-1 win over PSG on Saturday.
He has been with the club since the age of 10 and his work in the U23s saw him earn a spot with the first team this summer.
Unai Emery, the manager, said: “I am pleased with Emile’s contribution so far this pre-season. He is working very hard and has lots of potential. I look forward to working with him and the other young players and helping them to develop as Arsenal players.”
