Roma are also said to be interested in the winger
Bayer Leverkusen have told Chelsea to forget about signing Leon Bailey this summer.
The Jamaican star winger has impressed in Germany since joining the Bundesliga side from Genk in January last year and enhanced his growing reputation.
Chelsea have been keeping tabs on the 20-year-old over the last few months, but they are yet to make a concrete move to try and lure him to the Premier League.
After controversially missing out on snapping up Malcom from Bordeaux, Roma also turned their attentions to Bailey, with reports in Italy claiming the Stadio Olimpico giants were preparing an opening bid for the youngster.
However, aware of the growing interest in their star asset, Bayer Leverkusen have categorically ruled out selling Bailey this summer, according to Calciomercato.
Both Chelsea and Roma are not expected to give up without a fight though and a bid of around £45m could reportedly tempt Bayer into changing their stance.
Bailey, who has a contract until 2022 with Leverkusen, scored nine times in the Bundesliga last season.
