Spurs boss admits the Kenyan and Erik Lamela will not play in their friendly with AC Milan
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed the club’s latest injury news after Victor Wanyama returned home from the club’s pre-season tour.
The Kenyan has been plagued by knee problems over the last year and is now set of another scan to confirm the severity of the issue.
Spurs play AC Milan in Minneapolis in their final friendly in the United States on Wednesday morning and Pochettino admitted he could be without up to three first-team stars.
“Erik [Lamela] and Victor [Wanyama] are not going to play tomorrow,” he told reporters.
“Victor has returned to London for a scan on his knee. That is the situation.
“[With Moussa] Sissoko and Lamela we hope it’s not a big issue, so they are still here with us but there’s no point in taking a risk tomorrow.”
