Spurs star missed their defeat to Watford due to a thigh issue
Tottenham Hotspur star Hugo Lloris is set to miss France’s match with Germany through injury.
The Spurs captain was ruled out of their 2-1 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road due to a thigh a problem.
And, according to reports in France, Lloris is set for more time out this week as he will not be fit in time to face the former World Champions in the UEFA Nations League.
It means Paris Saint-Germain No.2 Alphonse Areola is now in line to make his competitive debut for Les Bleus.
It is not yet known if he will be able to play against the Netherlands, or in Tottenham’s next game, against Liverpool on September 15.
Should Lloris be unavailable for Spurs it would see Michel Vorm take his spot again, despite conceding from two set-pieces against Watford and putting a goal-kick out for a corner.
Argentinian shot-stopper Paulo Gazzaniga, formerly of Gillingham and Southampton, is Spurs’ third choice between the sticks.
