The National League club have been taken over by American consortium Victoria Road LLC
National League strugglers Dagenham & Redbridge have been taken over by an American consortium including former Manchester United and Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard.
The club announced in a statement on Friday that Victoria Road LLC, a group also jointly led by businessmen Peter B Freund and Craig Unger, have purchased a majority of shares in the club.
Freund is the principal owner of Trinity Sports Holdings, which holds interests in Major League Baseball’s New York Yankees and the recently formed Memphis 901 football club.
The Daggers currently sit fourth from bottom of the National League with two wins from their 10 games so far this season. Their first game under new ownership is at home to Chesterfield on Saturday.
