Leroy Sane’s disallowed goal against Fulham would’ve stood but no other clear and obvious errors were spotted
Only one decision would’ve been corrected during the games in which VAR was tested on Saturday.
The Premier League, which decided not to use video assistant referees this season, trialled the system during the five 3pm games.
A Leroy Sane goal was disallowed for offside during Manchester City’s 3-0 win over Fulham and replays showed the German to be marginally onside.
The test, which took place at the central VAR hub without communication with match officials, was designed to see how the system would cope with several games at once.
It is understood the Premier League are happy with how the trial went.
The penalty awarded to Bournemouth in their 4-2 win over Leicester would not have been overturned because it was not deemed a clear and obvious error.
