Hammers boss admits the Austrian ace is facing a late fitness test after hobbling off with a knee injury against Everton last weekend
West Ham star Marko Arnautovic is facing a race against time to be fit for Sunday’s London derby against Chelsea, manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed.
The Hammers host unbeaten Chelsea at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon – with EXCLUSIVE live commentary on talkSPORT.
And there are still question marks over Arnautovic after he hobbled out of last weekend’s 3-1 win over Everton with a knee injury.
The Austrian ace has been one of West Ham’s outstanding players so far this season, scoring three goals in five games.
But Pellegrini may have to do without the 29-year-old against Maurizio Sarri’s Blues.
“Marko finished the game with a problem behind his knee – he’s having some treatment,” said the manager during his pre-match press conference on Thursday.
“We will see if he will be fit for Sunday.”
