The World Cup winner was filmed during a tense stare-off with the Portuguese a day after the defeat to Derby County
The Instagram clip which is threatening to derail Manchester United’s season has resurfaced in the wake of Paul Pogba’s training ground spat with Jose Mourinho.
The World Cup winner was filmed engaged in an extremely tense conversation with his manager on Wednesday – a day after defeat to Derby County.
It took place in the wake of their penalty shoot-out exit where Pogba watched on from the stands.
The former Juventus man left the game early and missed Maroaune Fellaini’s late equaliser.
Sitting alongside Luke Shaw and Andreas Pereira, Pogba can be seen laughing and joking during the game – something which is thought to have upset Mourinho.
Several talkSPORT presenters have slammed Paul Pogba for his actions – with Simon Jordan claiming he should be sold in January.
The Instagram story went out at 10.28pm, suggesting it had been posted after United’s penalty shootout defeat, but it had actually been filmed in the first half. According to The Sun, a problem with the club WiFi has been blamed for the post going out later.
Mourinho believed Pogba had uploaded the video after the match, hence his anger on Wednesday.
The Portuguese was seen calling over club press officer John Allen in training and asking: “When did Paul post on Instagram?”
Further footage from Wednesday’s training session appears to show Mourinho telling the 25-year-old to ‘get out’ in the wake of stripping him of the vice-captaincy.
United are currently preparing to face a rejuvenated West Ham United side in the early kick-off on Sunday at the London Stadium, although it remains to be seen if Pogba will be part of Mourinho’s plans for the trip to the capital.
Former Red Devils assistant boss Rene Meulensteen fears dressing rooms leaks are ‘a problem’ at Manchester United that needs to be resolved – and quickly.
