The Tottenham man was forced off in the second half after being caught in the face by Jordan Ayew’s studs
Erik Lamela left the Selhurst Park pitch covered in blood following a collision with Crystal Palace’s Jordan Ayew.
The Tottenham man appeared to get caught by the Palace man’s studs in the final 10 minutes of the game with Spurs 1-0 ahead.
However, some of the Spurs faithful were not impressed by the reaction of the home support, with some booing the injured player as he lay on the ground.
It’s unlikely they all saw the blood pouring from the gash, while other Tottenham supporters were not impressed with the time referee Jon Moss took to stop the game.
Harry Winks replaced Lamela and Mauricio Pochettino’s team held on to claim all three points in South London.
Juan Foyth scored the only goal of the game to help Spurs open a four-point gap between them and rivals Arsenal. The Gunners, in fifth place, play Wolves on Sunday.
