The Brazilian duo own Babbo together and believe the World Cup winner tries to skip paying for his meal when he visits
N’Golo Kante is renowned as being one of the nicest guys in football, but it seems even he has one crucial flaw.
The Mini-driving Chelsea midfielder is notoriously shy and chooses to shun away from the celebrity lifestyle associated with being a footballer.
After helping France win the World Cup in Russia over the summer, the combative midfielder had to get Steven N’Zonzi to ask if he could hold the famous trophy aloft.
But it seems as though the two-time Premier League is not shy when it comes to claiming a free meal according to his Chelsea teammates.
Brazilian duo Willian and David Luiz own Italian restaurant Babbo in Mayfair and claim Kante always tries to get a free meal.
Speaking to Chelsea TV, Luiz said: “They love it because normally they come here and they don’t want to pay. Especially N’Golo.”
With Willian commenting: “If you ask N’Golo, ‘pay’, he does like that… ‘Yeah? I have to pay? Oh no! You and David you’re good, you have a good heart.’”
Luiz – who is reportedly a transfer target for Barcelona – then added: “Even if I say it in front of them, he say ‘I’m not gonna pay.’”
The France international is reportedly close to signing a new deal at Stamford Bridge to ward off interest from Paris Saint-Germain. No doubt Luiz and Willian will be making sure he pays from now on as soon as he signs.
