The Blues’ misfiring striker may bring his time at Stamford Bridge to an end
Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is reportedly the subject of transfer interest from Sevilla and his agent is said to have held talks with the club.
The Spanish star has failed to reach his full potential at Stamford Bridge thus far and so could be tempted by a return to his homeland.
This move may come sooner than expected however, as according to local Seville outlet Estadio Deportivo, Morata’s agent Juanma Lopez was in the city on Monday for talks with the LaLiga club’s representatives.
It is claimed that the parties have already been in contact and the player is said to be keen on the switch.
Sevilla director of football Joquin Caparros is understood to have led the talks with Lopez, alongside Paco Gallardo.
All options are being kept on the table regarding a potential move to take place either in January or the summer.
Alvaro Morata got off to a bright start at Stamford Bridge early in 2017/18, scoring seven goals in his first eight games.
However then hit a goal drought from which he never fully recovered.
The 26-year-old cost the club £60million when he signed from Real Madrid in 2017.
